As part of their current Unit of Inquiry, centered on the idea “When we learn about natural disasters, we can plan to stay safe and help others”, our 3rd grade students participated in a series of informative and meaningful talks focused on safety and preparedness.
Representatives from Protección Civil visited the school to share valuable insights on how to respond to potential natural disasters, providing both general guidance and specific information relevant to our community in Querétaro. This session helped students better understand the risks in their environment and the importance of being prepared.
Additionally, Claudio, our school’s Safety Coordinator, met with students to explain the safety protocols followed within the school. This session reinforced their learning by connecting real-world practices with the school’s own procedures, further enriching the research phase of their inquiry cycle.
Through these experiences, students gained knowledge from both official municipal institutions and their immediate school environment, empowering them to act responsibly, stay safe, and support others in times of need.

Como parte de su actual Unidad de Indagación, centrada en la idea “When we learn about natural disasters, we can plan to stay safe and help others,”, nuestros alumnos de 3.º grado participaron en una serie de pláticas informativas y significativas enfocadas en la seguridad y la prevención.
Representantes de Protección Civil visitaron la escuela para compartir información valiosa sobre cómo actuar ante posibles desastres naturales, brindando tanto orientación general como datos específicos relevantes para nuestra comunidad en Querétaro. Esta sesión permitió a los alumnos comprender mejor los riesgos de su entorno y la importancia de estar preparados.
Asimismo, Claudio, coordinador de seguridad de la escuela, compartió con los alumnos los protocolos que se siguen dentro del plantel. Esta sesión reforzó su aprendizaje al conectar prácticas reales con los procedimientos de la escuela, enriqueciendo así la etapa de investigación dentro de su ciclo de indagación.
A través de estas experiencias, los alumnos obtuvieron información tanto de instituciones oficiales a nivel municipal como de su propio entorno escolar, fortaleciendo su capacidad para actuar de manera responsable, mantenerse seguros y apoyar a otros en situaciones de riesgo.
