Last Thursday, November 7, 3rd-grade Elementary School students had the opportunity to attend two talks connected to their Unit of Inquiry, whose transdisciplinary theme is Who We Are, and central idea states: People celebrate important moments with traditions that reflect what they value and share with others.
These sessions supported students’ learning by helping them understand, explore, and connect with concepts such as traditions and celebrations. Parents from the grade kindly participated by sharing about customs in Japan and Brazil.
We thank the Franco Gómez and Gopalakrishnan Ramya families for contributing to our students’ learning during this stage of the inquiry — it was truly a valuable experience.

El pasado jueves 7 de noviembre, los alumnos de 3° de Elementary School tuvieron la oportunidad de asistir a un par de charlas relacionadas con la unidad de indagación cuyo tema transdisciplinario es Quiénes somos, y cuya idea central es: Las personas celebran momentos importantes con tradiciones que reflejan lo que valoran y lo comparten con los demás.
Las charlas enriquecieron el aprendizaje de los alumnos al ayudarlos a comprender, explorar y conectar con conceptos como tradiciones y celebraciones. Padres de familia de la generación colaboraron compartiendo sobre las costumbres en Japón y Brasil.
Agradecemos a las familias Franco Gómez y Gopalakrishnan Ramya por contribuir al aprendizaje de nuestros alumnos en esta etapa de la indagación; sin duda, fue una experiencia valiosa.
