As part of their Technology class and within the transdisciplinary unit Where We Are in Place and Time, our Kinder 2 students became explorers of the past during their interactive experience at the Technology Museum.
Through this activity, students discovered a variety of devices used by previous generations—such as cameras, telephones, computers, and video games—allowing them to observe firsthand how tools have evolved over time.
The main objective was for students to understand that people create tools to make tasks easier and improve everyday life. Through exploration and engaging activities like “Search and Find,” they strengthened their ability to identify the function of different objects, compare their characteristics, and reflect on how they have changed over time.
This experience not only sparked their curiosity but also promoted critical thinking by helping them connect the past with the present, understanding technology as a response to ever-changing human needs.
Como parte de la clase de Tecnología y dentro de la unidad transdisciplinaria Where We Are in Place and Time, nuestros alumnos de Kinder 2 vivieron una experiencia interactiva al convertirse en exploradores del pasado en el Museo de la Tecnología.
A través de esta actividad, los alumnos conocieron distintos dispositivos utilizados por generaciones anteriores —como cámaras fotográficas, teléfonos, computadoras y videojuegos—, lo que les permitió observar de manera tangible cómo las herramientas han evolucionado con el tiempo.
El objetivo principal fue que los alumnos comprendieran que las personas crean herramientas para facilitar tareas y mejorar su vida cotidiana. Mediante la exploración y dinámicas como “Busca y encuentra”, fortalecieron su habilidad para identificar la función de diferentes objetos, comparar sus características y reflexionar sobre cómo han cambiado a lo largo del tiempo.
Esta experiencia no solo despertó su curiosidad, sino que también promovió el pensamiento crítico al conectar el pasado con el presente, entendiendo la tecnología como una respuesta a las necesidades humanas en constante evolución.
