On Tuesday, May 19th of this year, the John F. Kennedy School proudly celebrated the official inauguration of its new High School facilities. The ceremony was graced by the distinguished presence of the State Secretary of Education, Martha Elena Soto, representing Governor Mauricio Kuri González; Senator of the Republic, Guadalupe Murguía; the State Secretary of Sustainable Development, Marco Antonio Del Prete Tercero; Mtro. Luis Bernardo Nava Guerrero, State Secretary of Social Development; and Ana Paola López Birlain, State Secretary of Culture. The event was also attended by the school’s Leadership Team, headed by General Director Adrian Leece and the President of the Board of Directors, Fernando Besoy, along with the entire school administration team.
Other educational authorities in attendance included the Director of Education, Juan Francisco Ledesma Meré. Parents from across the entire school, as well as all High School students and teachers, were also invited to the event.
Following heartfelt remarks, members of the honorary line, together with the Student Council President, performed the traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by the unveiling of commemorative plaques.
This new space represents a home designed for the future of our young people. Covering an area of 3,850 m², the project features two modern buildings connected by pedestrian bridges, ready to accommodate more than 400 students and 40 teachers in 31 classrooms equipped with state-of-the-art technology, science laboratories, art and photography studios, lounge areas for student interaction, and a central forum with a stage that will serve as the heart of our school community.
Faithful to our institutional values, the project stands out for its ecological approach: the architectural design succeeded in preserving three emblematic trees from the former facilities and optimizes natural resources through intelligent ventilation systems and a large rainwater collection canopy, which will also allow for the future installation of solar panels to reduce energy consumption by 40%. The entire construction process was carried out in strategic phases, achieving the major challenge of avoiding any interruption to classes or daily school activities at all times.
This important milestone, driven with enormous dedication by the outgoing Assembly and Board of Directors, perfectly crowns the celebration of our 60 years of history. With this achievement, the JFK reaffirms its educational leadership by providing a cutting-edge environment created to inspire innovation, sustainability, and the global success of our students.

El martes 19 de mayo de este año, la Escuela John F. Kennedy celebró con orgullo la inauguración oficial de sus nuevas instalaciones de High School. La ceremonia contó con la distinguida presencia la Secretaria de Educación del Estado, Martha Elena Soto en representación del Gobernador Constitucional del Estado de Querétaro, C. Mauricio Kuri González; el Secretario de Desarrollo Sustentable, C. Marco Antonio Del Prete Tercero y el Alcalde de Querétaro, Felipe Fernando Macías Olvera. Asimismo, acompañaron el evento, las máximas autoridades escolares encabezadas por el Director General, Adrian Leece , y el Presidente del Consejo Directivo, Fernando Besoy, además de todo el Leadership Team. Entre otras autoridades presentes figuraron el Director de Educación, Juan Francisco Ledesma Meré, la Secretaria de Cultura, Ana Paola López Birlain y la Secretaria de la Juventud, Virginia Hernández Vázquez. Al evento también asistieron padres de familia y todos los alumnos y maestros de High School.
Tras emotivos mensajes, los miembros de la línea de honor realizaron el tradicional corte de listón junto a la presidenta del Consejo Estudiantil, seguido de la develación de las placas conmemorativas.
Este nuevo espacio representa un hogar diseñado para el futuro de nuestros jóvenes. Con un área de 3,850 m², el proyecto integra dos modernos edificios conectados por puentes peatonales, listos para albergar a más de 400 alumnos y 40 profesores en 31 salones equipados con tecnología de vanguardia, laboratorios de ciencias, salones de arte y fotografía, áreas lounge de convivencia y un foro central con escenario que será el corazón de nuestra vida escolar.
Fiel a nuestros valores institucionales, el proyecto destaca por su enfoque ecológico: el diseño arquitectónico logró rescatar tres árboles emblemáticos de las antiguas instalaciones y optimiza los recursos naturales mediante ventilación inteligente y una gran techumbre para la captación pluvial, que además permitirá la futura instalación de paneles solares para reducir el consumo de energía en un 40%. Toda la construcción se llevó a cabo por fases estratégicas, logrando el gran reto de no interrumpir las clases ni las actividades cotidianas en ningún momento.
Este importante hito, impulsado con enorme entrega por la Asamblea y el Consejo Directivo salientes, corona de manera perfecta la celebración de nuestros 60 años de trayectoria. Con esta obra, el JFK reafirma su liderazgo educativo entregando un entorno vanguardista nacido para inspirar la innovación, la sostenibilidad y el éxito global de nuestros alumnos.
