10th grade students, in their Mathematics class with Lourdes Ramírez and Design class with Eddie López, carried out an interdisciplinary Service-Learning project in collaboration with Verónica Díaz from the CAS area.
As part of this initiative, they designed and built solar fruit dehydrators to support Casa Hogar Pan de Vida, validating their functionality through mathematical evidence and applying their knowledge in a real-world context.
On April 18, they held the official handover during a meaningful gathering with the children from the home. The day was filled with joy, including team-building activities and a shared gathering that strengthened values such as empathy, solidarity, and social responsibility.
As they shared this experience, they highlighted how opportunities like this invite them to reflect on the value of connecting their academic knowledge to contribute to others and the positive impact they can create through their actions.

Los alumnos de 10.º grado, en las asignaturas de Matemáticas con la maestra Lourdes Ramírez y Diseño con el profesor Eddie López, llevaron a cabo un proyecto interdisciplinario de Aprendizaje-Servicio, en colaboración con la maestra Verónica Díaz del área de CAS.
Como parte de esta iniciativa, diseñaron y construyeron deshidratadores solares de frutas para apoyar a la Casa Hogar Pan de Vida, validando su funcionamiento mediante evidencia matemática y aplicando sus conocimientos en un contexto real.
El 18 de abril realizaron la entrega oficial durante un emotivo encuentro con los niños de la casa hogar. La jornada estuvo llena de alegría, con dinámicas de integración y un convivio que fortaleció valores como la empatía, la solidaridad y el compromiso social.
Al compartir esta experiencia, destacaron cómo este tipo de vivencias los invita a reflexionar sobre el valor de conectar sus conocimientos académicos para contribuir a los demás y el impacto positivo que pueden generar con sus acciones.
