We are proud to announce that The John F. Kennedy School has officially signed the “Pacto 10 por la Lectura” (10 for Reading Pact), a strategic initiative launched by the Querétaro State Secretariat of Education and USEBEQ.
What does this commitment entail?
While reading is already a core part of our DNA, joining this select group of 20 private schools allows us to formalize our daily practice: ensuring 10 minutes of recreational reading during school hours. This is not about textbooks; it’s about reading for pleasure—engaging content that expands the mind and sparks curiosity.
Discovering Our State with “Defensores de Querétaro”
As part of this partnership, the State Secretariat of Culture visited our campus to deliver the “Defensores de Querétaro” collection to our Elementary School students.
These 12 books take children on a journey through the 18 municipalities of our state, highlighting tourist attractions and natural wonders through stories that promote:
- Civic values and social harmony.
- Respect, empathy and fellowship.
- Commitment to care for our environment
By participating in these programs, we want our students to feel part of something bigger: the pride of belonging to a community, acting as defenders of humanity and justice and builders of a better future.

Nos enorgullece compartir que la Escuela John F. Kennedy ha firmado oficialmente el “Pacto 10 por la Lectura”, una iniciativa estratégica de la Secretaría de Educación del Estado de Querétaro y USEBEQ.
¿Qué significa este compromiso?
Aunque la lectura ya es parte fundamental de nuestro ADN, al sumarnos a este selecto grupo de 20 escuelas particulares, formalizamos nuestra labor diaria: asegurar 10 minutos de lectura recreativa dentro del horario de clases. No se trata de libros de texto, sino de lecturas amenas que abran el pensamiento y despierten la imaginación.
Descubriendo nuestro estado con “Defensores de Querétaro”
Como parte de esta alianza, recibimos la visita de la Secretaría de Cultura, quienes entregaron a nuestros alumnos de Elementary School la colección de 12 libros “Defensores de Querétaro”.
Estas historias invitan a los niños a un viaje por los 18 municipios de nuestro estado, destacando sus atracciones turísticas y bellezas naturales a través de aventuras que promueven:
- Valores ciudadanos y una sana convivencia social.
- Respeto, empatía y compañerismo.
- Compromiso con el medio ambiente.
Al participar en estos programas, buscamos que nuestros alumnos se sientan parte de algo más grande: el orgullo de pertenecer a una comunidad, siendo defensores de la justicia en su entorno y constructores de un futuro mejor.
