On February 19th and 20th, our MS Math Club proudly represented JFK at the 2026 Mathcounts Chapter Competition, held at Peterson School in Mexico City. Over the course of two exciting days, our Jaguars took part in both team and individual rounds that challenged not only their mathematical knowledge, but also their critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
Their hard work truly paid off. JFK Team B earned an impressive 1st place, while Teams C and D secured 3rd place honors. These results reflect the dedication, preparation, and teamwork that define our Math Club.
We are also proud to celebrate Mingxing Zhang and Daniel Sarmiento Velazquez, who both placed in the Individual Top 20 and received special recognition for their outstanding performance.
Congratulations to our Jaguars for representing JFK with excellence and for showcasing the power of perseverance and passion for mathematics!
El 19 y 20 de febrero, nuestro MS Math Club representó con orgullo a JFK en el 2026 Mathcounts Chapter Competition, celebrado en el Peterson School de la Ciudad de México. Durante dos emocionantes días, nuestros Jaguars participaron en competencias tanto por equipos como individuales, que pusieron a prueba no solo sus conocimientos matemáticos, sino también sus habilidades de pensamiento crítico, resolución de problemas y trabajo en equipo.
Su esfuerzo dio grandes resultados. El equipo JFK Team B obtuvo un destacado 1er lugar, mientras que los equipos C y D lograron el 3er lugar. Estos resultados reflejan la dedicación, preparación y espíritu de colaboración que caracterizan a nuestro Math Club.
También celebramos con orgullo a Mingxing Zhang y Daniel Sarmiento Velazquez, quienes se posicionaron dentro del Top 20 individual, recibiendo un reconocimiento especial por su sobresaliente desempeño.
