As part of the transdisciplinary theme “Where We Are in Place and Time,” fifth-grade students explored the central idea that migration is a response to challenges, risks, and opportunities that transform both people and societies around the world.
Through reflection and discussion, students shared their own experiences with migration — how many times they have moved, the reasons behind those moves, and the emotions they felt along the way. After mapping these experiences on a personal timeline, each student will now take agency in sharing their story by choosing to write either an autobiography or a news article.
These narratives invite our community to see migration not only as movement across borders, but as a journey of growth, identity, and connection.

Como parte del tema transdisciplinario “Dónde nos encontramos en tiempo y espacio”, los alumnos de quinto grado exploraron la idea central de que las migraciones son respuestas a retos, riesgos y oportunidades que transforman tanto a las personas como a las sociedades a nivel global.
A través de la reflexión y el diálogo, los alumnos compartieron sus propias experiencias de migración: cuántas veces se han mudado, las razones que los llevaron a hacerlo y los sentimientos que experimentaron durante el proceso. Después de ubicar estos momentos en una línea del tiempo personal, cada alumno asumirá la agencia de compartir su historia eligiendo entre escribir una autobiografía o una noticia.
Estas narraciones invitan a nuestra comunidad a ver la migración no solo como un cambio de lugar, sino como un viaje de crecimiento, identidad y conexión.
