Over the past few days, our school community experienced something truly special. We lived a couple of amazing days celebrating creativity, dedication, and the power of artistic expression during the Visual Arts DP Exhibition.
Throughout the week, students from across our K–12 program visited the exhibition space. Watching our youngest learners engage with the work of our senior students was a powerful reminder of why connection and inspiration matter so deeply in education. Questions were asked, conversations unfolded, and meaningful reflections emerged. It was evident that art has the unique ability to spark curiosity and build bridges across ages and experiences.
For our Diploma Programme Visual Arts students, this exhibition represents the culmination of two years of exploration, risk-taking, and growth. Each piece on display tells a story—not only of technical development, but of personal voice, inquiry, and courage. Seeing younger students stand thoughtfully in front of the artworks, interpreting and responding in their own ways, reinforced the importance of creating authentic audiences for our learners.
We also had the privilege of holding a beautiful opening event with families and friends. This celebration allowed our eight DP Visual Arts students to share their journeys with the people who have supported them along the way. It was a moment of pride, reflection, and well-deserved recognition. Surrounded by loved ones, they were able to celebrate not only the completion of a demanding academic requirement but also the growth they have experienced as artists and individuals. Moments like these remind us that education is not only about outcomes, but about community. When we open our doors, invite dialogue, and honor student voice, we create spaces where learning becomes visible and meaningful.
We are incredibly proud of our eight DP Visual Arts students for their commitment, resilience, and creative courage. Their work inspired our community, and their example will continue to resonate with younger generations who walked through the exhibition doors this week. Congratulations to all of you on this remarkable achievement.

Durante los últimos días, nuestra comunidad escolar vivió algo verdaderamente especial. Disfrutamos un par de días increíbles celebrando la creatividad, la dedicación y el poder de la expresión artística durante la Exhibición de Artes Visuales del Programa del Diploma.
A lo largo de la semana, alumnos de todo el programa K–12 visitaron el espacio de exhibición. Observar a nuestros alumnos más pequeños interactuar con el trabajo de los alumnos mayores fue un poderoso recordatorio de la importancia de conectar e inspirar en la educación. Surgieron preguntas, se generaron conversaciones y nacieron reflexiones significativas. Fue evidente que el arte tiene la capacidad única de despertar la curiosidad y tender puentes entre distintas edades y experiencias.
Para nuestros alumnos del Programa del Diploma en Artes Visuales, esta exhibición representa la culminación de dos años de exploración, toma de riesgos y crecimiento. Cada obra expuesta cuenta una historia, no solo de desarrollo técnico, sino también de voz personal, indagación y valentía. Ver a los alumnos más jóvenes detenerse frente a las obras, interpretarlas y responder a ellas desde su propia perspectiva, reafirmó la importancia de ofrecer audiencias auténticas para el aprendizaje.
También tuvimos el privilegio de realizar una hermosa inauguración con familias y amigos. Esta celebración brindó a nuestros ocho estudiantes de Artes Visuales del Programa del Diploma la oportunidad de compartir su proceso con quienes los han acompañado en el camino. Fue un momento de orgullo, reflexión y reconocimiento merecido. Rodeados de sus seres queridos, pudieron celebrar no solo el cumplimiento de un exigente requisito académico, sino también el crecimiento que han vivido como artistas y como personas. Momentos como estos nos recuerdan que la educación no se trata únicamente de resultados, sino de comunidad. Cuando abrimos nuestras puertas, fomentamos el diálogo y honramos la voz de nuestros estudiantes, creamos espacios donde el aprendizaje se vuelve visible y significativo.
Estamos profundamente orgullosos de nuestros ocho alumnos del Programa del Diploma en Artes Visuales por su compromiso, resiliencia y valentía creativa. Su trabajo inspiró a toda nuestra comunidad, y su ejemplo seguirá resonando en las generaciones más jóvenes que recorrieron la exhibición esta semana. Felicitaciones a todos por este logro tan significativo.
Un agradecimiento especial a la Miss Cristina Méndez por su dedicación, esfuerzo y compromiso inquebrantable al guiar a estas jóvenes mentes. Tu pasión, cuidado y altas expectativas les han permitido crecer, desafiarse a sí mismos y convertirse en la mejor versión de quienes pueden llegar a ser.
