CAS is one of the essential components of the IB (International Baccalaureate) diploma program. It consists of designing creativity, activity, and service projects for both personal and community development. Today we present a service activity by our high school students.
“Huellitas Seguras”: A Project of Love and Awareness
Manuela Ovalle, and other students from 11th-grade , collaborate with Huellitas Seguras, a social service project dedicated to improving the lives of rescued dogs that have suffered abuse and abandonment. Her mission is to provide them with care, affection, and raise awareness about the importance of animal welfare in society.
Mexico faces a severe issue of canine overpopulation due to abandonment and a lack of education on animal care. Manuela and her peers volunteer at a shelter, where she walks, feeds, and looks after the dogs, adapting to their needs. Throughout her experience, she has witnessed how patience and love can rebuild trust and change the behavior of these animals.
Beyond the shelter, our students hope to inspire others to respect and value animals. Through Huellitas Seguras, she has not only impacted the lives of many dogs but has also developed empathy, commitment, and responsibility—leaving a mark on her community and her personal growth.

Creatividad Actividad y Servicio: Huellitas Seguras
CAS es una parte esencial del Programa del Diploma del IB (Bachillerato Internacional). A través de proyectos de Creatividad, Actividad y Servicio, los estudiantes desarrollan su crecimiento personal mientras contribuyen a la comunidad. Hoy les presentamos un proyecto de servicio realizado por nuestras alumnas de preparatoria.
“Huellitas Seguras”: Un Proyecto de Amor y Conciencia
Manuela Ovalle, junto con algunas otras alumnas de 11° grado, colaboran en Huellitas Seguras, un proyecto de servicio social dedicado a mejorar la vida de perros rescatados del maltrato y el abandono. Su misión es brindarles cariño, cuidados y crear conciencia sobre la importancia del bienestar animal en la sociedad.
México enfrenta un grave problema de sobrepoblación canina debido al abandono y la falta de educación sobre el cuidado de los animales. Manuela junto con sus compañeras, contribuyen en un refugio, donde pasean, alimentan y atienden a los perros, adaptándose a sus necesidades. Durante su experiencia, han visto cómo la paciencia y el amor pueden transformar la confianza y comportamiento de estos animales.
Más allá del refugio, nuestras alumnas buscan inspirar a otros a valorar y respetar a los animales. Con Huellitas Seguras, no solo han impactado la vida de muchos perros, sino que han aprendido sobre empatía, compromiso y responsabilidad, dejando una huella en la comunidad y en su propio crecimiento personal.
