On February 27, our school experienced a special moment with the induction ceremony of 14 new students into the prestigious National Honor Society (NHS) program. These students were recognized for their academic excellence, commitment to service, leadership, and character. During the ceremony, each received their honor cords, membership certificate, and pin, and had the opportunity to hear heartfelt words from the teacher they chose as their mentor.

Sofía Olguín, Alessandra Torres Landa, André Antonio Rivera, Franchesca Torres Landa, Ana Paula Sandoval, Alejandro Castilla, Leticia González, Sofía Saldaña, Valeria Pérez, Rubén García, Ivanna Schell, Natalia Moreno, Damián Jang, and Sofía Nava.
Additionally, the NHS Executive Committee for this school year was officially announced:

- Vice President: Fernanda Luján
- Treasurer: Benjamín Velázquez
- Secretary: Michelle Escartín

About the National Honor Society (NHS)
The National Honor Society was founded in the United States in 1921 with the purpose of recognizing and fostering four fundamental pillars in young students: academic excellence, service, leadership, and character.
Our school became an NHS member in 2010, and since then, we have worked to fight hunger in the community through the Banco de Alimentos de Querétaro. Every school year, our students organize initiatives to raise awareness about this issue and promote a culture of waste reduction and social responsibility.
Some of the most representative projects include:
- Food Drive
- Bikeathon
- Dessert Sale at the Mercadito Navideño
- Fundraising at the JFK Kermesse
Through these actions, our students demonstrate their commitment to the community and the values that define the NHS.
Ceremonia de inducción de nuevos miembros de la National Honor Society (NHS)
El pasado 27 de febrero, nuestra escuela vivió un momento especial con la ceremonia de inducción de 14 nuevos alumnos al prestigioso programa de la National Honor Society (NHS). Estos alumnos fueron reconocidos por su excelencia académica, compromiso con el servicio, liderazgo y carácter. Durante la ceremonia, cada uno recibió sus cuerdas de honor, membresía y pin, además de escuchar las emotivas palabras del maestro o maestra que eligieron como padrino o madrina.

Sobre la National Honor Society (NHS)
La National Honor Society fue fundada en 1921 en Estados Unidos con el propósito de reconocer y fomentar en los jóvenes cuatro pilares fundamentales: excelencia académica, servicio, liderazgo y carácter.
Nuestra escuela se afilió al programa en 2010 y, desde entonces, hemos trabajado para combatir el hambre en la comunidad a través del Banco de Alimentos de Querétaro. Cada ciclo escolar, nuestros alumnos organizan iniciativas para generar conciencia sobre esta problemática y promover una cultura de no desperdicio y responsabilidad social.
