On November 28, the new Model United Nations (MUN) committee held its first ceremony, marking an exciting start to this academic cycle.
In an interview, Andrea Cosain, the committee’s moderator, highlighted that participating in MUN not only builds self-confidence but also teaches students how to debate, reach agreements, and face challenges outside their comfort zones.
During the event, students tackled highly relevant topics such as corruption and natural disasters, showcasing their preparation and analytical skills.
Miss Erin shared an inspiring message during the ceremony: “The important thing isn’t where you start… it’s that you start. Don’t be afraid to take that first step and ask for help. The beautiful part about being a member of a club like MUN, is that you have a team to rely on; a group of students with a common goal.”
This new committee is sure to become a space for growth, learning, and leaving a mark on the JFK community.

El Comité MUN da inicio a una nueva etapa en JFK
El pasado 28 de noviembre, el nuevo comité de Model United Nations (MUN) celebró su primera ceremonia, marcando un emocionante inicio para este ciclo académico.
En entrevista, Andrea Cosain, moderadora del comité, destacó que participar en MUN no solo fortalece la seguridad y confianza en uno mismo, sino que también enseña a debatir, llegar a acuerdos y enfrentar desafíos fuera de la zona de confort.
Durante el evento, los estudiantes abordaron temas de gran relevancia como la corrupción y los desastres naturales, para los cuales se prepararon con antelación, demostrando su compromiso y capacidad de análisis.
