Last week, the JFK community came together to celebrate the “Kilómetro el juguete” event, where children and representatives from the communities of Tolimán and Amealco symbolically received toys and clothing donated by our community as part of the Give a Toy and Dress a Child campaign.
Year after year, students, teachers, staff, and parents join forces to collect new or gently used clothing and toys, which are then donated to various communities in the Sierra Gorda of Querétaro, reminding us of the importance of sharing.
So far, the campaign has gathered over 650 toys, but there is still work to do. The goal is ambitious but within reach: to support 27 schools and bring joy to more than 2,100 children during the holiday season.
During the event, Assistant Director, Dave Brown, shared his thoughts: “Today we celebrate the spirit of giving, a very important value for our community at JFK. Thanks to the generosity of our students, we are bringing joy to the children of our community and fulfilling our mission to lead, serve, and create beauty. Together, we are achieving something truly extraordinary and remembering that even the smallest act of kindness can make a big difference.”
The campaign doesn’t end here! The Give a Toy and Dress a Child initiative continues, and we encourage everyone to keep contributing. Your generosity can help us reach our goal and make this holiday season an unforgettable experience for children in need.

El “Kilómetro del juguete”: una tradición de solidaridad en JFK
La semana pasada, la comunidad del JFK se unió para celebrar el “Kilómetro del juguete” evento en el que niños y representantes de las comunidades de Tolimán y Amealco, recibieron de manera simbólica, los juguetes y ropa donados por nuestra comunidad como parte de la campaña Dona un juguete y Viste a un niño.
Año con año, alumnos, maestros, personal y padres de familia unen esfuerzos para reunir ropa y juguetes nuevos o en excelente estado, los cuales son donados a diferentes comunidades de la Sierra Gorda de Querétaro, recordándonos la importancia de compartir.
Hasta ahora, la campaña ha recolectado más de 650 juguetes, pero aún queda mucho por hacer. La meta es ambiciosa pero alcanzable: apoyar a 27 escuelas y llevar alegría a más de 2,100 niños durante la temporada navideña.
Durante el evento, el Subdirector Dave Brown, dijo: “Hoy celebramos el espíritu de dar, un valor muy importante para nuestra comunidad en el JFK. Gracias a la generosidad de nuestros alumnos, estamos llevando alegría a los niños de nuestra comunidad y cumpliendo nuestra misión de liderar, servir y crear belleza. Juntos estamos logrando algo verdaderamente extraordinario y recordando que incluso el acto más pequeño de bondad puede marcar una gran diferencia.”
¡La campaña no termina aquí! La iniciativa “Dona un juguete y Viste a un niño” sigue adelante, y los invitamos a continuar contribuyendo. Su generosidad puede ayudarnos a alcanzar la meta y hacer de esta temporada navideña una experiencia inolvidable para los niños que más lo necesitan.
