This past weekend 7 grade 5 students and I went to a writing
conference in Monterrey at the Colegio Inglés. There were 95 students
total from all over Mexico who attended the workshops. The theme of the
workshops was Harry Potter, and students wrote their own works of fiction,
created short movies, and participated in other activities designed to
stimulate their creativity and hone their fiction writing skills. Ines
Mejia Cobos and Constanza Sofia Navarrete Rocha received special recognition
awards for their work during the conference.

El pasado fin de semana, 7 alumnos de 5° grado y yo, fuimos a un congreso de escritura en Monterrey, en el Colegio Inglés. En total participaron 95 alumnos de todo México. El tema de los atlleres fue Harry Potter, y los alumnos escribieron sus propios trabajos de ficción, crearon películas cortas y participaron en otras actividades asignadas para estimula su creatividad y afinar sus habilidades de escritura. Inés Mejpia Cobo y Constana Sofia Navarrete Rocha revcibieron una reconnocimiento especial por su trabajo durante el congreso.
